SHOULD YOU BUY THE ONEPLUS 7 PRO

SHOULD YOU BUY ONEPLUS 7 PRO:-

The one plus 7pro has arrived, and we all know that it is a feature packaged flagship. but at a price point of Rs.48,999, the biggest question is this a true flagship worthy of buying.let’s try and find out.

So this is the detailed review of one plus 7pro, well there is a lot to be in love with this phone, this is not perfect, not even close, especially when you consider the higher price tag. Anyway, let's get into the detail.

First, the glass and metal design are great, its flagship, premium, and all-around gorgeous. Plus there is this front which arguably is the biggest highlight of one plus 7 pros and you know what it lives to the hype, especially the bezel-less display has been admired by most of the tech entrepreneurs. its vibrant color accurate and super sharp and since its bezel-less, the multimedia experience is just fantastic. Although it's not perfect, I would like to have it a little bit brighter for outdoor scenarios, apart I love the stunning display. Anyway talking about the multimedia experience onboard, its complimented by the stereo speakers onboard, but compared to the speakers of S10 plus it's not of much difference but seems he S10 plus has got a little bit more grip to the track, but it depends on user to user, so maybe you may like it.

Another cool feature to the one plus 7 pro display is the higher 90Hz refresh rate, well its a nice thing to have, now the higher refresh rate would have been good for the higher refresh rate but not many popular games do support this, well the UI, the animation and everything else feel very smooth and nice. Well, games like Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and Marvel Contest of Champions which support 90Hz stood very well, yeah so I am hoping games like PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 will bring support for 90Hz displays.
For overall this phone is very lovable, I love the design, this is a beautiful looking smartphone, but it's very big and hefty phone and I just can’t hold it single-handedly, but apart from that, there are a few other problems that I faced with the one plus 7 pros.
Moving on to the cameras, the one plus 7 pros have updated cameras, but I wasn't particularly mind blown by the triple camera setup, well the phone has received multiple updates which are supposed to improve the camera quality of the phone, so the one plus 7 pro manages to take some nice shot with some nice exposure and good dynamic range, I personally don’t like the warmer shot that the camera takes but otherwise, it performs pretty well, in no doubt the 48MP camera capture photos that are bright and nice but at times the camera misses out the color so its decent but not the extraordinary.
Well the one plus 7 pro’s 48MP camera compared to S10+ and pixel 3a cameras, well check out the results:
As you can see the portrait from the pixel 3a and S10+ has a better dynamic range and better colors, in low light the pixel 3a and S10+ are just way better than the one plus 7 pros. So it's clear that the one plus 7 pro has better cameras but its still not flagship-grade. like other phones the 7 pro has a portrait mode which has improved with the update, the edge detection has been improved but still a bit finite, some portrait shots are great but just has a smoothened face which I don’t like.

Anyway, let’s talk about the other cameras of 7 pros perform. First of there is a wide-angle, which takes decent photos and has good colors especially when there is good lighting condition, but in low light, it takes somewhat messy photos. Next, there's the telephoto lens capable of 3x zoom, which takes decent photos, without any significant loss color plus there's a lot of details, and yeah I kind of like it. Moving on with the videos, I was fairly impressed with the videos, the videos in 4k are crisp and thanks to OIS and what they are fairly stable too. the 1080P videos are not as good as the 4K videos, but the stability is mind-blowing, so no problem with the video front. When comes to selfies the motorized 16MP(f/2.0) takes some cool selfies. The selfies from 7 pros are sharp and descent, in low-light the selfies are not the best but decent enough.
Now let's talk honestly, the rear cameras of the Oneplus 7 PRO are not a huge upgrade from One Plus 6T or even the One Plus 6. if you are thinking of taking off the flagships, well, for now, it can’t. the magical .DXO firmware maybe can but I am not taking it into consideration.

performance:-Well the One Plus 7 Pro has totally impressed me with the performance, and I kind of expected it too. The flagship chipset, well-optimized Oxygen OS, and lots of Ram make the One Plus 7 Pro a snappy phone. Trust me this right here is a blazing fast Smartphone. The phone handles games like Asphalt 9 or the PUBG Mobile at max graphics and max smoothness. Apart from the flagship-grade chipset, the Snapdragon 855, one thing that makes it even faster is the UFS 3.0 storage, compared to the UFS2.1 storage of Galaxy S10+ the One Plus 7 Pro storage is twice faster, just look at the images for the results,
this means faster app loading time, faster file saving and all-around faster experience. Seriously kudos to One Plus for going with the UFS 3.0 storage.
Now, as I said the well-optimized oxygen on the one plus phones is the key reason for the snappy experience year after year, Well the Oxygen OS 9.5 on the One Plus 7 pro is no exception, it is buff free and may new features like the native screen recording, there's also a new game mode with a partnership with Fnatic, a new Zen Mode which should be useful to some and a lot more, plus the Oxygen Os with getting some new India specific features like a better dialer, a messaging app, and a balanced work mode and a lot more. So the performance on the One Plus 7 Pro out there is the very best.
Battery:- now let’s talk about the battery, the One Plus 7 pro comes with a bigger battery( 4000 Mah), but it also comes with a bigger screen and a higher resolution. Well with the resolution set to QHD plus and refresh rate set to 90 Hz, the battery life was just okay-ish. The phone when started the day with 100% battery ended the day with a 10% battery with usual usage and general gaming. Now the resolution set to auto and refresh rate to 60 Hz, there was a slight difference but it was not something huge to notice. the battery on the One Plus 7 Pro isn't really improved from One Plus 6T or the One Plus 6.
When comes to charging there is a 30Watt WARP charger onboard which changes the phone from 10 to 100% in around 1 Hr and 20 min, which is pretty fast.

Conclusion:- well its time to conclude things, it is clear that the highlight of the One Plus 7 Pro is the fluid AMOLED display and the performance it offers, but like I said its not a perfect phone. Now let's talk about the cons.:-
It does not comes with IP rating even though they are saying Never Settle.
It does not comes with wireless charging, and
It does not have the latest Gorilla Glass 6.

Well, I would have been impressed with all this if the camera experience was better. Well coming to the question, should you buy the One Plus 7 Pro or not?
Well if you are okay with the problems I said about, and want this bezel-less design, top-notch performance, and 90Hz refresh rate, you can go with this phone, and if you want to save up some money, well a lot of money, you can go for the regular One Plus 7, which comes with the same flagship chipset, same UFS 3.0 storage, and the same primary camera and the same throttle experience at a more value for the money price tag.
See I look into the One Plus 7 Pro as the OnePlus’s first attempt to configure a true flagship phone, its good but it could have been a whole lot better.

Well, that was my opinion of One Plus 7 Pro. if you want to read the blog about Oneplus 7 check this out https://rmblogatronic.blogspot.com/2020/05/one-plus-7-one-plus-pro-maybe-super.html
